Winemaker Notes

The wines of Alsace have great maturity and moderate summer heat, preserving fruit and acidity. Wine is made at Domaine du Manoir at the foot of the Letzenberg hill.

Terroir is Clayey limestone with terraced vineyards, located on east facing side of the hill slope with low yields. Grapes, growing on 27 year old vines, were hand harvested, crushed lightly and pressed with long fermentation on the lees.

Tasting Notes

Crémant d'Alsace is our white sparkling wine. It is made in the traditional method (like champagne, secondary fermentation in the bottle). The grapes are hand-harvested and originate from top and north side of the Letzenberg, areas that produce wines with the best acidity. The wine undergoes secondary fermentation for at least 18 months.

This Cremant is pale gold in color with creamy and delicate bubbles. Aromas of fresh green apple and white flowers are typical of this wine. The palate is dry with lively acidity, green apple and lemon. Enjoy as aperitif, pair with a main course or dessert.
